            the captain hadn’t a clue on what his alternative version looked like , but for this version of mark to have gotten confused there not be many differences .  not that it really mattered to him , in anything the more worrying thought was if his mark met this other version of himself .  that could clearly end badly .  “ quiet your gob  ,  of course it’s not the only thing i’m worried about right now !  worse thing we know our other-selves could’ve met just the same .  the man i know is a bastard  ,  wants tae conquer this damn world alongside his father .  force or otherwise  ,  i cannae tell .  let’s hope tae whatever god those two haven’t met and it just so happens tae be only us . ” one could only hope , there was no telling what would happen if that ever was the case .

            slowly mark picked up on what the other was talking about , he felt kind of dumb for not noticing sooner , but really who could blame him ? if both johns stood next to each other they’d probably look like twins , his own infatuation and subsequent exhaustion from being out and about all day didn’t really help matters . knowing that this john wasn’t his did help him level his head but it only gave way to the very obvious new problem .
            “ / that’s / what you’re worried about right now ? ? ? of course they exist ! if you’re not my john then / where / is he ? “ aliens existed , it really wasn’t far fetched to assume alternate realities existed , especially with what mark has seen with angstrom . which begged the question . . . was angstrom still alive ? he’d killed him last time he checked . . something like this shouldn’t be feasible .

/ adding on to this..  the fact he smokes cigars and not cigarette says a lot about his character to , how much og price influenced him .  captain mactavish trying to be him in a way , maybe not entirely replacing him but feeling the need to take up that role especially while price was gone .  feels the need to prove his worth in a twisted way .  his adoration and admiration towards price changed him , some for better and some for worse .  feels the need to push his limits , can’t let himself slip through the cracks .

/ captain mactavish doesn’t open about his feelings , often keeps them locked up .  even to people he admires so much , price included .  can’t stand getting emotional , HATES how the tears burn his eyes .
