genuine question especially if he looks 30 ish so i could maybe call him anna but im also a teenager which would mean i could call him uncle

@d0ll-3yes haha, had this doubt too! i come from a rural town so i grew up calling helping male strangers anna, even those with full greying hair. but once i moved to a metro city, i heard people call them uncle and thought it was so weird. it took me years to adapt to it. the one that comes immediately to my mind is anna tho. how i use them now is: with men i regularly interact with (to share a community bond) i call uncle. like the stationary store uncle, grocery store uncle, watchman uncle, laundry uncle. but for men who are helping strangers, passerbys, i use anna. idk why but uncle means something closer in bond than anna to me. maybe because of how i grew up using it. so yes, auto drivers are annas. i say, call them anna no matter their age. because why not? they would feel young too! (meanwhile my current dilemma is what to call them when they’re younger than me, fresh out of college. do i call them thambi? it makes me feel so old and weird lmao)
