I'm looking around -- like I said, it's been a minute -- and seeing that a good chunk of the stories I remember reading as first drafts on Wattpad are published or being turned into movies (Kate!! Incredible!!). I'm having a very full circle moment. What a cool place

Hi everyone!

So, I've been away for the better part of four years. Won't lie, won't deny it. Don't have any excuses either, except for that I've been doing other things in real life that I wasn't doing when I was posting three times a day. That said, I'm super happy to be back -- I've never been more productive writing-wise than when I was on here, staying up all night to finish a chapter for you guys, so I'm excited to get back into that.

Speaking of those chapters: I was a young teen when I wrote most of the stories on my page. I'm talking fourteen, fifteen-ish. And like, you can tell LOL. Are they incredibly written? Not even a little bit, but weirdly enough, people are still reading them. I opened my page today and there was five or six inbox messages about stories I forgot about, so I'm going to go against my better judgement and keep them up. THAT SAID, most of the stuff I'll be posting from here on out is not going to be similar to The Gold Rush trilogy, By the Playbook, or anything else I've posted. Like, at all. But that's okay. We grow up and we grow out of things, and hopefully you guys can read my slightly (very) cheesy old works and still enjoy them in the same way that I still enjoy books I read when I was twelve. I'm not going to take them down and ruin it for anybody.

Last bit! I've been super into editing lately, so if anyone needs anything edited or just wants someone to read a draft and get an opinion (it's scary, I know), shoot me a message.

Thanks guys! Still love you, happy to be back!!

          xoxo

          Carly

I just finished TDRT and can I just say I cried. Not because it was sad. It was but that I hate to end books but I just want to say that the books were amazing and I can't wait to see what you do in the future.

carlala21

@Ceruhlover hi lovely! I hate to be that person who answers like three months too late but that seems to be my life lately, I haven't been on WP in months. Anyway, more importantly, thank you so much for taking your time to leave a comment on my works. I really, really, REALLY appreciate it (even if I'm late getting around to seeing it lol). I'm glad you liked them. It means more to me than you know.

            xoxo,
            Car

I know you’ve stopped writing about TGRT but if you ever feel like it could you do an alternate universe where the Diamond’s parents could meet the Greens? Also are you still posting your short story?

carlala21

@QueenKKMC ALSO, the short story is posted. It's called The Trouble in Fifths - it's under My Works. Don't judge too hard, I wrote it in three hours. love u xoxoxoxo

@QueenKKMC hi! So we've kind of gotten to the point where I'm never really on Wattpad and yet every time I log in I see a message from you - which, like, really makes my day... even if I get to it almost a year late (sorry!! I do love and appreciate you!! I just always forget!!)

To answer your question, I've never really thought about it. I mean, if I'm being completely honest, I still think about the Gold Rush boys all the time - and I mean ALL of the time. The thing is that I never really write in the same genre as TGRT (what would that be, btw? YA? Teen Fic? IDK) anymore - I'm actually working on drafting another trilogy that I'm too scared to post because it's so important to me, but it's like YA Dystopia (think Hunger Games, Chaos Walking, Divergent-esque). So even though I'm still writing all of the time, a good chunk of that time isn't spent on the Gold Rush boys.

Here's the thing, though. I don't mean to drag you on and be *that* person, but like the boys are constantly in my mind. Sometimes I hear a song and I just think OLIVER, you know? So, back to your question, I'm not really sure. If I get time and you want to shoot me a one shot idea, I promise I'll write it for you - you've been hanging around supporting me long enough, and I've been just enough of a dick making you wait that you deserve it.

So let me know! I've finally got my wattpad/writing email linked to my phone so it'll actually give me notifications about stuff, so I promise I won't take a year to answer this time. But, all things considered - it has been a year. Don't worry, I'm not holding you to wanting that one shot still.

            xoxo,

I just finished BTP and oh my god. Do you think you'll write more about Raddie or not because I keep rereading my favourite parts of the book. I love your writing. Keep doing what your doing your an amazing author and I can't wait to see what you do in the future. xoxox~Sarah S.

carlala21

@SarahSlivinski Hey Sarah! I'm glad you enjoyed it lol I had a good time writing it. I don't think that I'm going to write another novel about Raddie but I do usually end up writing one-shots about them and their lives in the future. You can check out Where the Story Ends on my profile for some Ryder POV of scenes in the book, and that's where I'll post one shots if I end up writing them. It's kind of chaotic and there's absolutely no updating schedule but yeah, that's where they are haha.

Hey, what happened to country girl? I loved it so much and came back to read it again only to find it gone! :(

inkalicious

Sorry to hear that. I truly did enjoy it. Maybe you could rewrite it one day? I love you as an author!

@inkalicious ohhh my God I am so sorry I haven't answered this. In all honesty I haven't been on Wattpad in like six or seven months. To answer your question, I took down Country Girl because I was really unhappy with it - I wrote it when I was twelve and I couldn't read it or talk to anyone about it without feeling physically sick. Not actually one hundred percent sure why, if I'm being honest. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, truly, but it won't be coming back. Sorry guys :(
