I am an independent  author  and am perhaps best known for my ‘Time Hunters’ series. I wrote the first draft of ‘The Time Hunters’ in 2006 when I took a year’s sabbatical to live in the South West of France.

I’m delighted with the success ‘The Time Hunters’ series has received. Not only has the series sold over fifty thousand copies on Kindle/paperback across the UK and the USA, but the reviews have been quite overwhelming. In fact, it’s one of the top hundred best-reviewed children’s books available on the Kindle.

‘The Time Hunters’ is the first in a series of children’s adventure books about two children, Becky and Joe Mellor, who are invited to stay with their reclusive Uncle Percy at his Cheshire stately home. What they don’t realise is that Uncle Percy is a time traveller and shares his home with a baby Triceratops, two Sabre-tooth tigers and the mythic hero, Will Scarlet. Soon, they become embroiled in a murder mystery and a quest through time to find the legendary Golden Fleece.

I think part of the success of ‘The Time Hunters’ books is that they offer genuine escapism. We live in challenging times and people need a diversion from all of that. Although I wrote them with the younger reader in mind, I’m amazed by the thousands of adults across the world that have enjoyed them.
 
‘The Time Hunters’ has been described as ‘the natural successor to Harry Potter’ and an editor from Harper Collins said it had ‘terrific potential’.

I have also written the second, third and fourth book in the series: ‘The Time Hunters and the Box of Eternity’, ‘The Time Hunters and the Spear of Fate’ and 'The Time Hunters and the Sword of Ages. I have also written two other children’s books ‘Bernard and the Bibble’ and ‘The Night They Nicked Saint Nick.’
