Hey, Catastrophe here!
Those who are reading Random Venting Stuff know that recently, I have come to terms with my gender identity. I'm genderfluid, which basically means my gender is subject to change and varies among the entire spectrum (despite what I said in the vent about not ever being male, I started to pay more attention, and there are times when I feel masculine as opposed to neutral, agender or female). If you didn't read the vent, then please refer to me with they/them pronouns.
Well, today I thought of a brilliant idea for a story I want to write. It was inspired by the LGBT community, and basically it's going to be about a group of teens who aren't, as my friend @Sainpuu says, "the ugly thing known as the social norm".
I wanted to write this kind of thing because I believe that the social norm is the equivalent of the photoshopped models in magazines; an impossible aspiration. The characters will all be living their lives, being their own people. I want to show that there isn't a social norm for sexuality and gender identity- everyone is their self.
Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone would read it.
