Daily dose of positivity: In Russia, an Amur Tiger conservation program has led to the wild populations of the cats increasing significantly, and two of the original orphans released by the program, Boris and Svetlana, have become a mated pair in adulthood, having a litter of cubs together.

So I went thrifting with my besties today and I found a long green skirt which is something I've been wanting for a while, but I didn't have any money so my one best friend bought it for me as my Christmas present! Then my other bestie got me the Lore Olympus coloring book and a Wild Kratts shirt!

This could just be my pacifist Mennonite upbringing talking, but I personally don’t like it when people rag on a hero for sparing/showing mercy to a villain and being the bigger person. I actually really admire it because in my belief, good people don’t intentionally hurt others unless absolutely necessary. To me, these acts of mercy aren’t cowardly, they show that the characters are good people.

I don’t find it cowardly, but I do sometimes think they’re letting their empathy cloud their judgement. Like, at the point in a story where a villain has been caught and escaped a few times and killed a bunch of people, it’s annoying for the hero not to kill them.

            1. I’m sick of the same butthole ruining everything for everyone else.
            2. I’m waiting for a victory I won’t feel until I KNOW they’re done causing problems.

Now, I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers, hero x villain type stuff so I’m definitely cool with some level of leniency. I love a good redemption arc. The hero is amazing.

There’s a reason I love Izu from MHA so much. He always wants to save them no matter what they’ve done wrong. I can’t fathom that good a person. However, at the end of the day if he knows it’s them or everyone else, he’ll choose everyone else.

So yeah, that’s more my feelings :)
