Hi everyone!!

I’ve got something I’m really happy to finally share with you all, and I’ve been looking forward to writing this update for a while.

I’m incredibly proud to say that I’ve officially finished writing the entire third installment of the Mia Series, Future. This book has meant so much to me, and reaching this point feels surreal in the best way. Right now, I’m in the editing phase, carefully going through each chapter and preparing them for publication. And because of that, I finally have something I’ve been wanting to give you for a long time: a consistent schedule.

Starting Saturday, April 4th, 2026, at 10 AM CST, I will be posting one chapter of Future every single week. No more random uploads. You’ll know exactly when to come back, ready to read, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited about that.

If everything goes as planned, the full book should be completely published around the end of the first or second week of November 2026.

As for DAYBREAK, my RWBY fanfiction, that story will continue to be published as chapters are completed. Those updates will remain more spontaneous, but they are still coming. I know it’s not as widely read on this platform, but it’s something I care deeply about, and I want it to be available here for those who may not read on AO3 (Archive of Our Own), where it has reached a different audience.

To everyone who has been following the Mia Series, supporting these characters, and sticking with me through every chapter all these years… thank you. Truly. I hope this new schedule gives you something to look forward to each week.

I appreciate all of you more than I can put into words.

          	With love and honesty,
          	Catherin Bakaloff

Hi Catherine
I'm just checking to see if this is a personal way to interact with you.
I have reconsidered many of the comments I've made over time since I first started reading "Mia"and posting them. I realized I put too much personal infomation about my compassion, my honest emotions, details and concerns I have along with my mental health and stability in too much detail. I regret them and actually wish I could take most of them back. I shared things that weren't, from my point of view, meant for public consumtion.
I am extremely gratefull that you always reply to me promptly and with understanding. I look forward to reading the rest of your "continuing" stories when they are completed. I will also check out your reading list. I'm confident that some or most of them are stories I'll like and hope most of them are text to speech, for personal reasons.
PS Based on your profile you are the most well rounded individual that I've come acoss in my life. Besides being a truly great author and wonderful caring and inspirational writer, all the passion for other things in your life are an insperation to me and I'm sure many others to find the passions in life.
I know you say not to apologize but for this long message I do.
If this is a regular posting I'll be much more careful and guared in what I say from here on out. Sometimes I wear my emotions on my sleeve but I have to be more careful.
          Very best regards.

            Hello again!! =)

First, thank you for being honest about how you’re feeling. I want to be very clear about something. You don’t need to feel embarrassed or regretful about your past comments. You shared what was on your heart at the time. That came from a real place, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Wattpad comments are public, so anyone reading a chapter can see them. The conversation wall on my profile works the same way. When you post there, it goes directly to my profile instead of under a specific chapter, which makes it feel more personal. But it’s still visible to others. It isn’t a private messaging system.

That said, I have never found your comments inappropriate or excessive. I’ve always seen them as thoughtful reflections from someone deeply invested in the story. That kind of engagement genuinely means a lot to me as a writer.

If you decide you’d rather share less moving forward, that’s totally okay. You should only ever put out what feels safe and comfortable for you. There’s no expectation from me that you disclose anything personal. Your presence, both as a person and as a reader, is more than enough. I truly enjoy connecting with thoughtful, like-minded people, like you.

Please don’t apologize for long messages either. You think deeply. You feel deeply. That’s a strength, not something to tone down.

And thank you for the kind things you said about me. I’m just someone who loves storytelling and a few other passions, figuring life out like everyone else. Still, it means a lot that you see something meaningful there.

If you ever feel you’d prefer a more private way to communicate, I can share my email with you. Otherwise, however you choose to interact from here on out, I’m grateful you’re here.

Keep reading, keep reacting, keep enjoying the journey.

            That’s what matters most.

P.S. You’re not the only one who writes long messages, trust me. I definitely do, too.

            With love and honesty,
            Catherin

Hello everyone!!

Since publishing the Character Introductions chapter for Mia, one thought has stayed with me—I didn’t give this first chapter the kind of introduction my debut book truly deserves.

When I first wrote Mia back in 2019, it was one of the most personal, emotional, and healing experiences of my life. But when I uploaded it here, I was nervous. I rushed through the beginning, more focused on getting it out there than making it feel whole. In that rush, the first chapter didn’t get the heart it needed.

Mia’s story is raw, vulnerable, and layered with emotion—much like my own—and I wanted that to come through from the very first page. So, I took a step back, breathed, and rewrote it. The chapter now goes deeper into who Mia is—her quiet strength, her pain, her loneliness, and the small spark of hope that begins to grow when someone finally sees her. I poured everything I had into this rewrite, and I hope it resonates with you in a deeper, more powerful way.

If you’ve read it before, I’d love for you to revisit it. And if you’re discovering it for the first time, welcome. I’m so grateful you’re here. This story means the world to me, and I hope that somewhere in these pages, it means something to you, too.

Thank you for supporting Mia—and for seeing her the way I do.

          With love and honesty,
          Catherin Bakaloff
