A single word is a sword; a bringer of endless possibilities of anguish and torment. A method of causing harm, breaking bonds, and breeding fear. When well armed, with many a word at his back, a man is an army, capable of endless destruction and pain.
A single word is a shield; a defender against the threat of the night. When storms thrash in the sea, and the sky cracks wide, the word will stand in blissful indifference, because a word can weather the weight of the world, and cannot be stopped.
A single word is a feeling; that deep connection to something more we find ourselves craving, that thought of 'what if' and 'why not' that spurs us into the void. It is the nothingness and everything we see so easily, but cannot seem to find.
One single word can be the start of one story, or the end of another. And that choice is ours.
