I live in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire with my wife and two daughters. I have never been one for taking centre stage and I have always preferred to be the string-puller of my creations, operating in the background, allowing myself the guise of heroes and heroines...and on occasion, villains and monsters. I have been interested in writing for a long time and have toiled away on stories in one form or another since I was a teenager, finding an escape between the pages of books, shaping my taste for the macabre.  Sometimes writing is easy, other times it's not; it depends on how connected I am to the characters and the stories they need to tell. It took me some time to learn that the art of writing is in re-writing...again and again and again, peeling back the layers to a resulting disclosure of a refined rawness that is without conceit and it seems at times fabrication. There is a truth in fiction for although rooted in the world of make-believe its foundations stem from life, from desire, fear, dreams and nightmares.
