These days, it’s easy to forget that we all deserve to be loved. We tend to look at the mirror and point out our flaws. We forget that we are all humans and no human is perfect. These flaws, disabilities, or conditions are all a part of ourselves, part of who we are, and they make us unique and special in our own way.

It’s May so that means we’ll see a bunch of AAPI content that forget about the PI part of the acronym.
Or worse, the complete exaggeration of the cultures under PI people by focusing on clan wars, pirates, shipwrecks, and misunderstood indigenous people looking like heathens.
We are not your writing prompts. We are not your amusing flashfic challenges. We are not there to be used for our aesthetic flowers and waters. Appreciate the cultures because they’re insanely beautiful and breathtaking. That is all.
@dj_thecrazycatlady the stereotypes are so bad and some are kinda overused. I wouldn’t mind the use of there was this background and education about it! But there are some organizations that don’t have that kind of thought.
@chai-ya This. This is why I avoid participating in something I haven't researched a LOT prior to writing. I'm not familiar with the PI of AAPI. The stuff I was shown is the ridiculous stereotypes you see in media and such.
Probably should give a disclaimer that i say this as an Asian woman and a daughter of the Pacific.

My first midnight release party as a new bookstore owner and our 100 copies of Iron Flame sold out within an hour. For everyone reading Iron Flame, you are NOT prepared for that ending.
@Pfunzo18 I’m loving the series but this part wasn’t as good as the first book IMO. Even if I still loved it, I didn’t get the hangover I did with the first book. Most of my theories were true though so I was excited about that!
@chai-ya I just finished it and I’m soooo torn. I didn’t like not nearly as much as the first. I don’t even know what to say.
