If anyone likes Neil Gaiman, I beg that you read the recent Vulture article that came out, detailing the disgusting and horrific things that he’s done. When I said “pass away”, I meant that with a vitriol that cannot ever be replicated cuz the amount of joy I would get reading his wikipedia page and seeing “Neil Gaiman WAS an author” would be so delightful.

          Pulldrone could insinuate that we are perverted reflections of God, we who twists His word to affirm our own existence as potent and powerful as His. Shakespeare’s Iago perverts God’s words by foreshadowing his own deceit and to imply that he is God’s (Othello’s) equal and opposite, the Devil. 
          
          There’s also a brief reference to AM from Harlan Ellison’s IHNMAIMS — “Let me tell you how much I’ve come to hate you since I began to live. Hate, hate.” AM, named in part to the phrase “I think, therefore I am” is itself a perversion of its original function and a perverted reflection of his creators. AM can also be linked to catatonia, a neuropsychiatric syndrome that’s characterised by immobility and withdrawal, which is significant to the final song on the EP called “Amber Waves”. 

Pretty sure Perverts is about all perversions that are “against Christianity”. Etienne, the seventh track, is about a man who wanted to d*e so he ran to induce a heart attack. Su*c*de is taboo - a perversion - in Christianity, and Dante believed that there was a place in Hell for those who have committed. The ring of Violence, the SEVENTH ring of Hell.
