to the people who jopin the wattys. you read the part of the rules and terms of agreement where they tell you your text is used for machine learning?

Isn't it a bit hypocitic to damn the use of AI and then become part of AI learning?

You never read the terms and conditions, right ? That is what I do normally. Generally, to know how I avoid getting kicked by not obliging terms and conditions, lol.
So that shit jumped directy at me and I just closed it and laughed at the irony.

I am alive! I researched A LOT of alchemy. Yes. Alchemy! So there are actual texts from the middle ages that revolve around it and I tried to read them. And their attempts of deceiver these texts.

because while you can read it, they are written in verse form (like a poem), and all the words have a different meaning. So here I was, trying to learn about an old "science" (lol), but all I got was drafted into a philosophical poetry slam.

So now, I, euuuuh.... let's say I needed some time away from my emotions to cope with what I found and the headdache it gave me. We (the books and I) are cool now...kinda.

Anyway, here is an example of what I read: The Book Of Lambspring. I....didn't read it to the end. My brain is cooked, lol.

And at the end, I wondered why tf I actually read it, because I don't write about deceivering this, I write a regular fantasy book ffs...

I must refrain from crawling into every rabbit hole there is. Geezus!

Today, I remembered how the person that used to be my best friend wrote a book where I contributed like at least 1/3rd of it. I didn't mind that, and still don't.

She gave me exerts to read, and when I got the full work, I kinda skipped full chapters because there wasn't a lot of change. Like the exerts were 1:1 the same in the novel.
She said "But there is a lot new", and I re-read it, and while there were some things added, I didn't see any difference to the excerts I already knew.

long story short: I did copy paste a few things, but removed parts that felt overwhelming in the world building. I rather put an "extra" in to build up Madleine and the world she lives in than slowing down the pace with world building only.

Changed a lot to the text, too, and added a lot of additonal info. it's kinda calming I went back to my initial plan. The build up will be quite a challenge.

          This is gonna be fun!
