you know why people love six of crows so much? its because it shows that everything is not simple. You have a farm boy being stunted from his nature and leapt into an addiction headlong, you see somebody who's the most brutal person in that world fight to the end, somebody who won't give up, who knows the truth of the world and uses it, but also knows exactly what he is. You see a girl forced from her home and put in an endless indenture in a pleasure house she never wanted to go to, and you see her kill and steal. You see a kid shunned for something he has no control to. You dont see anybody as a savior, you see them as people, villains, and victims all at the same time. You see a man who once was only valued for his strength, a man who destroys lives and takes slaves, and a father wanting the best for his son all in the same person. The book shows you complexity and that nobodies good or evil, but blends and shades.
