Three years ago today, my book Adopted by Heathers made it's official debut. And I know I make this sappy as hell anniversary post for it every year, but this year more than ever I'm grateful for ABH and the path its' taken me on. From the moments I was crying in my room contemplating deleting my Wattpad account and never writing again, to the moments I was squealing with joy whenever a new person discovered the book or someone voted and commented on it- I wouldn't trade this book, the story, Catlynn and Red, or the friends I've made from it for the world. I still can't believe that three years ago, little fourteen-year-old Emmy single-handedly created a little girl that would mean so much to so many people, and eventually I would go on to create a universe- the Adopted Bys. I cannot even begin to express the joy Catlynn and all of the other kids bring me every single day. To all the people who have read the story, to all the people I annoy in DMs with headcanons, to all the people who have just been there for me, throughout all of this, thank you, just thank you. I seriously don't know where I would be if it wasn't for you guys.
Happy birthday, ABH. And happy birthday to Adopted by Broadway.
