hi all! florence here, louise has kindly copied and pasted this. as you should know we are reading six of crows at the moment as a group. i said that on the 7th of june we would begin reading cinder, however with the current circumstances and the black lives matter movement, i have been doing some thinking. i have decided instead of reading cinder, we will be reading to kill a mockingbird instead- a book which centres on a lawyer, atticus finch's attempts to prove the innocence of tom robinson, a black man who has been wrongly accused of raping a white woman in 1930s alabama. this novel obviously has some upsetting descriptions and is about racism, so if you feel uncomfortable reading it i completely understand, however i do think it is important to read and be educated on.
once we have finished this book, we will take a week’s break before continuing with the club! We will start off with cinder, then read either throne of glass, if we were villains or something else! stay safe loves! you can message me personally on goodreads <3
