          i personally believe el is dead, and i don’t have too many bad things to say about the finale, or season 5 in general, but i think mike’s theory would have made more sense if they kept kali alive and with the group until they are caught by the military, that way it’d be more realistic if mike’s theory was right, because it confirms that kali could have made the illusion that herself was in the truck, but actually she was still in the upside down but far enough away to not be affected by the kryptonite, and then a new illusion that el died in the upside down with her as she made her escape. bc like no way you’re convincing me that she could reach that far while bleeding out. it also wouldn’t have made her appearance random and lowkey useless.
