Due to Wattpad’s new update, I’ve made the really heartbreaking decision to leave the app.
          	
          	I’m honestly so frustrated and devastated by this. I’ve put so much time, effort, and love into this story, and I was finally starting to build an audience for it only for this to happen. What makes it hurt even more is that I literally just came back to writing about two months ago after being on a three-year hiatus. I finally found the motivation to write again, started putting my work out there, and was excited to see where this story could go.
          	
          	And now I feel like all of that hard work is being taken away from me.
          	
          	I want to make it clear that I do understand some of Wattpad’s restrictions. For example, I completely agree with having age requirements for characters involved in sexual content. But when it comes to art, storytelling, and fictional violence, I genuinely feel like these restrictions are going too far.
          	
          	My story (Mouth Full of Pearls) is going to be very heavy on gore and extremely graphic, and because of the new update, I don’t feel like Wattpad is going to be a place where I can tell this story the way I intended to.
          	
          	So, unfortunately, I’ll be taking my story down from Wattpad and moving it over to AO3.
          	
          	I’m not going to lie, this really hurts. I’ve been using Wattpad for years, and I never expected that I’d have to leave because of something like this. I was finally getting back into writing after years away, finally trying to reach readers again, and now I have to start over somewhere else.
          	
          	I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has read my story, left comments, voted, followed me, or simply gave my work a chance. You probably don’t realize how much that meant to me, especially after being away from writing for so long.
          	
          	I really hope you guys understand. And if you’re willing to follow me over to AO3, I’d genuinely appreciate it more than I can put into words.

Hi everyone,
          
          I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be updating Mouth Full of Pearls this week. My grandpa passed away a few days ago, and I need some time to be with my family and process everything.
          
          I'm hoping to update next week and possibly release chapter 3, depending on how things go. I still need to do some editing and proofreading first, so I'll keep you all updated on what I decide.
          
          Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support. It truly means a lot to me. ♡
