Hello everyone. This is a but of a bittersweet announcement but I think it needs to be said. Some important news to break the silence.

Sad news first, until further notice the Mortance series is to be discontinued, as well as any other creative writing of that kind from me. It's been great writing in that world with all those characters, and I'm really proud of what I was able to create and that some people even somehow enjoyed reading it, but that era has come to an end. All the characters, especially Aurora, mean so much to me, and I'm sad not to be writing then anymore, but it's just faded for me. That energy is elsewhere, for better (hopefully) or worse.

That brings me to the better news. If it wasn't obvious in how I wrote Aurora, I'm a musician. I play guitar and a few other instruments. During spring of this last year, my creative energy shifted to writing music and I kinda wrote an album which may have saved me from going insane. I plan to have it recorded and released sometime in 2024 (recording is expensive, but I'm working on it). While that's in the works, I'm dropping music with one of my bands very soon. Shoot me a message on here if you wanna follow up on any of that please, would be neat.

Anyways, last part of the announcement is an actual announcement. Before I wrote the album, I wrote a little short story that takes place in the extensive lore of Ert, some twelve-hundred years before the events of Mortance. Personally I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and I thought Wattpad might be a better place for it than my google drive. It's in two parts, and I'll be dropping part 1 later this week so stay tuned everyone. There's a good chance that short story will be the last we see of the world of Ert, so thank you all for reading and giving my characters a space in your mind, even if they never got to finish their journey. I apologize to anyone who was invested. Stay tuned for Steelborn.

Happy Pride Month! You should read my stories this month because there's gay characters in them. Also lesbians and bisexual people and pansexual people and a trans character (to be explored). Also I apologize for having writer's block recently with Summer's Snow, I kinda got stuck with a specific scene and distracted myself by writing other things (which are really good but not to be published here). I'll put out another chapter soon. Thanks for reading!

For anyone who hasn't seen yet, I've started the second book in my Mortance series. It's going to be longer and cover a larger scope of the world than the first book, so I hope you're all ready for that. The first chapter will be done soon.

Just now I got a for it by the most excellent @apprehensiveanne who did the cover for book one as well. I hope you all like it, and I'm very excited for everyone to read the story as it continues to unfold.

I'd like to announce to everyone that I finished the book, and it has been cleaned up a bit too. There is now a character index for anyone who needs it too, by the way. I've also added a foreword (with trigger warnings included) and an afterword. Thank you all for reading.

The story of Queen Jade the Just is finished, her closing chapter is released. She seems to be a fan favorite, so I hope you all like where she has ended up.

That was the last of the named chapters. Stick around for the epilogue coming soon.

Late announcement? I don't know what you're talking about.

Angus's final chapter was just published a few days ago, you should all go read it. Only one chapter along with an epilogue left, and I'm super excited for all of you to read the ending!

@ACSutliff Thank you for the advice, I'm probably gonna be saying this a million times but I'm so glad you're enjoying my book too.

I can understand. I didn’t really start to get readers until I interacted with other writers’ stories. Unfortunately that means I’ve read some very mediocre stories. I’ve also discovered some great stories like yours!

@ACSutliff I'll admit I'm really terrible with reading pretty much anything on Wattpad but I will give it a look when I can. Thanks for the invite!

Aurora's story is officially wrapped up for this book. So happy with how close the book really is to being done. I'm excited for the ending and the sequel (which I hope you'll all be sticking around for)

By the way I should've announced this earlier and separately but in case you didn't notice already, Mortance: A Miscarriage of Hope has an awesome new cover designed by the excellent @apprehensiveanne. It definitely fits the tone of the story a lot better than the old cover did. Very cool.

Just gonna let everyone here know that that 24th chapter of my book Mortance: A Miscarriage of Hope, titled Aurora VII, should be out Saturday as long as everything goes as planned. Sorry for the delay, but I had to pull in some help for the bonus content and they weren't available until Saturday. In the meantime you should all reread things and theorize and leave comments (which I will reply to) if you're feeling thirsty for content. Thank you all for reading.
