after we scored the goal, argentinian were the better team, there’s no denying it. but that first half was actually shocking — anderson getting a yellow card after argentina had bodied and dragged atleast 4 players so far was ridiculous. it’s such a shame such a good world cup came to an end the way it did, but i think england knew it wasn’t on our side this year. it was such a shame but the pressure was too much on the attackers when we had 6 defenders on the pitch :(
i think if anything we’ve learn from this tournament is the teamwork is too crucial to be disrupted, and we need to stop celebrating tii early. tuchel was a fantastic manager, but jumping so quickly to defence against such a strong team like argentina mistake was far too costly, can’t help but feel for kane, gordon, rice and bellingham the most, they were so worn out we stacked up on defence !
