    it is the option that gives one freedom. taking that from me would be treating me as if i am lesser in comparison to anyone else.  (    maybe that was a deeper part of their disliking for the fellow chimera species. although she couldn't yet include the king in that grouping. runa was unsure how she had yet to feel in terms with him, but they knew one thing. she would not pretend, lie, or act of a different nature to appease another. not even him.   )   I'm already learning.   (   that they were. and had been for a while. but in this moment she was trying to read some part of him, anything that gave her an inclination of something more. something intriguing, inspiring even. they needed to know what he was like, his true nature and how it would end up morphing her future, if she chose to follow a path alongside him. runali hadn't spent any, or much at all, time with any chimera ant, they had set their own goals the day they could see the world with their own eyes. the look of confusion, the curiosity lacing his tone, that was what kept their attention. even if unspoken, he wanted to learn about her.   )

i  do  not  understand.  what  more  is  there  that  you  could  want?  freedom?  travel?  knowledge?  i  can  provide  that  for  you.

        that exact concept of being made for something, or to do something, is exactly why. i won't do something that was decided for me before i had a mind to think on my own.

i  do  not.  my  mind  and  choices  belong  to  the  royal  guard.  they  tell  me  what  to  do,  and  i  insure  it  happens  the  way  they  plan.  i  did  not  intend  for  it  to  come  off  like  that.  he  is  under  orders  from  the  king  to  make  sure  you  are  looked  after.  sire  says  you  need  not  want  anything  that  can  be  provided  for  you.

    but you have your own thoughts, do you not? so you can think for yourself. thus making it your choice to carry out actions of which, regardless or not if it was your idea, it was your choice to do so. ensure my safety?? i am not on need of protection of any kind. does he think that i am weak? i will have to make something clear then. stay here or find something else to do.
