Today I’ve inherited the ownership of a Discord server indefinitely for the time being from one of my friends here.
I’ve talked once or twice about making a server of my own in the past for writers and readers to hang out in, but never really following through.
Now though, being trusted to run a place like such, I thought it would be a good opportunity to open the place up to all of you here. Whether ownership gets handed back or not, I thought now would be a good opportunity to invite and involve the community I’ve built here.
This server is intended to be a safe and inclusive place for writers and readers alike, already with some of the best (and craziest) people I know.

I’m tired. I’ve been stuck second guessing just about every word of this next chapter, afraid that if I don’t write it exactly like everyone wants, it’s gonna get a barrage of comments calling this person a fraud, or that person a bitch, or even a death threat to a character over the tiniest thing like something recent.
I used to be so excited to write. This was even meant to be one of the chapters I was most excited to write about since the very start. But I’m just so fucking tired of everything, and I don’t think I even like this story anymore.

Thats understandable, just remember that this is ultimately your story, and no one else’s. We’re just the readers, but some people definitely get too into it and say some dumb things. It’s those people that you shouldnt let dictate what you write.
Personally I hope you continue, I want to see the story you envisioned and you definitely seem excited to write these chapters. And I wanna read your writing with your vision, not some whiny dumbass in the comment who’s mad because the story isn’t going their way. They ain’t writers, you are my guy.

@chimera9119 Write what you would read. That’s a phrase I’ve personally been following since I started on this app and it’s helped me a lot in mitigating how people’s opinions affect my writing. As long as I would read and enjoy what I’ve written then people can think whatever they want, who cares Take a break dude, trust me when I say it helps

Rewrote the last Redline chapter, so you may have gotten another notification about it. Mostly unchanged, but the most important part of it (you know what) got overhauled and toned down, so it might be worth a reread.

I changed the argument between Shindou and Nokogiri. People didn’t like it, nor did I succeed in conveying the point I was trying to make with it. Plus it conflicts with the origins chapter I had planned next.

I’m personally really glad that you changed it. It was kinda weird when it happened, but the change you made really made it feel more natural and satisfying to read (I have no idea what was changed, nor have i reread it yet..)

You may be getting messages on your board about a funny meme or something being linked, as well as your username being tagged.
These are likely hacked accounts trying to hack yours too. Do be careful and delete these messages on your boards to prevent you and anyone else clicking these links.
