Hey everyruby,
          I ran into some technical difficulties when trying to update the story- hence why I didn't publish the new chapter part yesterday- but I managed to work around it and it is now available to read here on Wattpad, too!
          
          If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know this, but the sixth chapter of the story (and thus the final chapter of arc 1 of the first book) will be releasing every month from here on out! The first release of every chapter part will occur on the official website for the project on the 13th, then the second release on the 27th here on Wattpad.
          
          In the mean time, I am working together with the VA's to bring the first chapter of the story to life in audiobook form! I've had the pleasure of listening to the voice lines they sent in and I'm absolutely blown away by these talented actors- super excited to share their efforts with you rubies soon! If you want to listen to a preview of what's to come, the official trailer for the first arc is out on YouTube!

          The time has arrived! Ever since last Friday, the trailer for the audiobook version of The Rise of Nevadora has been out on my YouTube channel (CJFrostthorn)!
          Behind the scenes, the audiobook team and I have been working to bring this project to life, and this is only the first small preview!           It’s almost time! This week’s Friday will be the release of the trailer for the audiobook version of the first arc of The Rise of Nevadora! I look forward to sharing the story with you all in this way, but, in order for the project to succeed, I need your help. I’m still looking for 4 out of 18 roles from the first arc, particularly Anthea, who plays a vital role in the first three chapters.

          It's been a while since I updated here on Wattpad, and that's because I've been making good progress in the preparation for the audiobook version of the story! The trailer is set to release in January, concurring with the eight year anniversary of the project, and I'm so excited to show you the world of Arthyrell in this new way!
          I've also taken a good long look at my goals for the story the upcoming time, and have devised an uploading schedule I think will be attainable for me on the long run as I move into a new stage of my personal life. I've added 7 story parts to the book here on Wattpad that will release every 13th and 27th of the month 'till April. From there, I want to keep releasing in the same pace (or every 13th if my new intern turns out more taxing than I can foresee now).
          All in all, more Magic is sure to come!

          I've got an exciting announcement for you rubies! I've opened auditions for the characters from the first arc of The Rise of Nevadora for an audiobook version of The Rubyix Saga.
          If you are a(n aspiring) voice actor over the age of 16, you might want to read through the casting call (linked below) and take your pick from the 15 different characters you can choose from!
          The auditions will likely run for a couple months, as I want to get the right fit for each of the characters and am in no hurry to start, but I will be giving the roles away as soon as I find a good fit, so don’t wait too long if you want to get a chance for the role(s) you favour.
          I am very excited to bring this novel to life in this new and exciting way, and I hope you are, too! And as always…

Hey everyruby,
          With chapter 2 all set and published here on Wattpad, I'll be moving along to chapter 3! Same pacing as the previous chapter, with updates on Tuesdays and Fridays respectively.
          After that, the pacing will slow down just a little, so I won't catch up with my illustrative work and run out of chapter parts to publish. I'm really excited to be sharing chapters 4 & 5 soon- and the final chapter for the first arc after that!

Hey everyruby,
          So far, so good- chapter 2 is coming along nicely and will receive its final update next Friday! After that, we'll move on to chapter 3, with another set of biweekly updates for you rubies to enjoy!
          
          On another note-
          My beta reader recently brought it to my attention that a line in my openingsscene (the scene after the prologue where Anthea and Ehrynn share a talk) didn't line up with later established information about Anthea's character, so I revisited the scene and found the prose to be rather outdated compared to my writing style these days. I've made some changes to the description, keeping the dialogue (mostly) intact, and added a brand new bit of dialogue at the end of the scene to end it on a nicer and less abrupt note.

Hey everyruby,
          It's been a while since I've shown my face around here! In the mean time, I've worked on and revised a couple things about the story, and I'm happier with it now than I've ever been! In case you don't remember- which I'll assume to be the case as I announced this a year ago- the main characters of my story have now all had a change to their name and I've gone over the story to make sure everything lines up well.
          Furthermore, I've kept working on the story and illustrations and am currently writing chapter 8, illustrating chapter 5 and have a total of 27 chapter parts all ready for you rubies to enjoy!
          If you can't wait, all 27 parts of the story so far are readily available on my website, https://therubyixsaga.jouwweb.nl/ , but they will come to Wattpad, too, over the course of Summer break! Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, until I've caught up to the releases of the speedpaints on my YouTube channel! From there I will continue to update them along the speedpaints, which will leave the Wattpad updates slightly behind the updates on my website ^^

          You might notice that I've taken quite a number of chapter parts offline, and that's because I've got a bit of an update concerning the names of my main characters, a plot hole in the first couple chapters and some smaller updates regarding the progress of the story, so I decided to make the speedpaint for the Tapas cover of the story a voiceover speedpaint- to get you rubies up to speed.
