I see everyone saying that wattpad is banning smut but it’s not entirely true. It only bans it if it’s straight up corn with no plot. It scared me how many people can’t properly read and comprehend these new rules

@imkageyamagf I can’t link it but i made a doc that compares the old 2024 version of Wattpad guidelines to the new 2026 version (if you go on the website for guidelines, it’s not updated yet, but if u go thru Wattpad app, settings, about Wattpad, and guidelines, u can see the new ones)
            
            I only compared the ones relating to sexual and violent themes. In summary it looks like they told AI to summarize the old guidelines.
