Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I have posted anything new, but I have an exciting announcement to share: I am self-publishing an edited version of Dragon Dreams as an e-book! This new version contains some minor edits, small differences in characters and scenes, and generally polished and improved writing throughout. The plot remains almost exactly the same, but the whole thing is hopefully strengthened by the editing work I have done.

The e-book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. The price I have landed on is $4.99 and the book will become available in just a week on Friday, December 10th. If you enjoyed the story, I hope you will consider buying a copy!

You can find Dragon Dreams at the URL below (or search the book ID B09LSMB9W1 directly on Amazon), or use the link on my profile to hop over to my DeviantArt page. You can see my latest posts there to learn more.

I absolutely loved your book! Thanks for keeping an unedited version free. You captured a story similar to one that I started writing when I was really young, but never could write past 5 chapters. I didn't exactly have the confidence, so it makes me really happy to see someone had a similar idea and actually finished it. Very fun read, thank you for writing it.

Hey indigo. How's your new work coming along? Any updates to keep me hype maybe? (Definitely not bragging about being one of the first people to fall in love with your story)

@Narwalion sorry, not much to announce at the moment, but there's likely something I can share soon into the new year. I'm still working on the outline for a new fantasy story. I don't want to rush the process, but I understand that folks would love to see something new. I hope I can deliver some new content early next year!

I know a lot of people have probably asked you this but will there be a sequel to Dragon dreams someday ? Or at least a short story that could count as one because I was touched after reading it and dare I say I think I've even fallen in love regarding it in a sense.

StoryTraveler2000

@citizen_indigo i actually have a story that contains transformation but instead of a dragon its a seal that my character turns into.

I started writing the story back in April of 2019 but stopped due to getting stuck trying to find the right words to continue it.

I had someone helping me slowly edit the story to where it makes more sense and has better wording but that too has long since stalled.

I've been debating on what to do with it because idk if I can or could finish it.

If your interested I would be happy to send you a link to the document its on. That way you can look at it.

@bloatedraccoon I am sorry to disappoint but I'm fairly doubtful there will be a full-length sequel to DD. I have moved on other ideas and am currently exploring new ideas for my next project. As much as I love DD, it has been a number of years since beginning it and I feel that it's best for me to move on. However there are a number of short stories in the same universe on my Deviantart profile, and I may decide to release a few more shorts over time as ideas come to me. If you're interested you can check those out over on DA but I haven't got around to sharing my short stories here.

I just found out about Dragon Dreams yesterday and I just finished, and all I have to say is that it was amazing I loved every second of reading and I also wanted to ask if you plan on doing more writing

citizen_indigo

@DarkPhoenix813 Thanks, I'm so glad you liked it! I am still writing things, but at the moment most of my writing is short stories that I'm only sharing on my Deviantart profile (you're welcome to check them out over there). I'm not sure when I'll put more writing here, but I do plan on hopefully starting another novel-length story in the next year, which if that happens it will definitely show up on my profile here. Until then, sadly I don't have much to share but I hope you'll stick around for the next project, whatever it might be!

I'm glad you finally got the amount of reads that your work deserved. I'd ask for more of your amazing writing but I'm aware you aren't very interested in doing so. But seeing your reads go from 14 to a few thousand really made me happy. Well done, man!

Night-FuryDreamer

I usually don't have time to read stories by other people on Wattpad, primarily due to work-life and developing my own stories, but yours caught my eye.

The biggest interest was the detail you put into explaining scenery, actions, or characters. They were so fluid and painted the whole picture in my mind very well. I'll admit, I'm kind of jealous. I guess that'll give the the kick in the arse I need to improve that area my own writing, huh?

Anyway, I'm beginning to ramble a bit here. I just wanted to say that your story, "Dragon Dreams," is top-notch. There were very few mistakes that I saw, and the plot was great. Keep up the good work!

citizen_indigo

@Night-FuryDreamer Thank you for the lovely comment! You're right, I love adding detailed descriptions (maybe sometimes too much detail) but it's great that you enjoyed that part of the story. If you're looking to do the same in your writing, I'd just say keep practicing and soon it will become a natural part of your process. I think I did learn a lot and improved a bit over the course of this story. I wish you all the best with your writing!
