joseph "joey" thomas miller, an 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘-𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 sixteen-year-old boy with a 𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄. after spending fourteen years of his life in seattle, his parents decided they needed to make the move somewhere else after he got into trouble with the police one time, insisting that he was hanging around the wrong group of people. 

while moving out of seattle didn't stop him from getting into trouble, it's less frequent than normal and he has a hard time making friends again due to the way he 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 and 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒. he also has a fourteen-year-old sister named emily that he would 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐊 𝐈𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋 to protect; if you hurt her, good-fucking-luck to you because she's the only thing keeping him 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐄 and is the only one in their family who 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐇𝐈𝐌.

though he may seem totally heartless, he really isn't deep down. he'll never admit it, but the attitude is just a 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐊 - a way of protecting himself so he doesn't get hurt emotionally anymore.
