I've been writing since I was 6 and I love it. It's a passion.
I think that people are interesting. They are intricate and they are sympathetic, and they are beautiful and in that wonderful moment when their lives convolute, for a second it seems like they're part of something grand. Something bigger than that. You can catch a glimpse of the vast framework of stories waiting to be told. It's a carefully woven quilt, with intertwining threads, and as a writer, if you can look at it just the right way, or pull just the right threads, (or in some cases weave the entire quilt yourself) you can say something profound. Or you might end up just unraveling the quilt, I don't know.
You can probably glean from my writing that I have rather dark sensibilities. I've always had a fascination with the morbid aspects of the human psyche. It started off as a keenness for serial killers, but has grown into something a little more mature and a touch more nuanced (I hope). I like to explore the dark attics and the spooky corridors of troubled minds to see what I can find. (Not my own, I assure you.)
I've written a number of short stories, and I'm currently working on the first lengthy story (novel if you can call it that) that I intend on finishing. It's called Pretty Little Flowers and I'll be updating every Friday.
So there you have it.
Oh, and enjoy.
Oh and I thrive on feedback, so feel free to comment.
