@OwainGlyn I've always been enthralled with, what I say, is Celtic humor, as in that delightful, self-deprecating, tongue in cheek way of spinning a phrase. I spent a year living on the western coast of Ireland and was fascinated by the underhanded way they communicate. An example: if you ask an Irish person how they are, they'll answer, "Not too bad, now. I could be worse." It's an indirect way of talking, for they'll tell you what they are not!
