            {  carrie  has  always  loved  animals.    she  can't  pinpoint  an  exact  time  or  creature  that  spurred  it,  if  her  elderly  neighbors  pets  had  anything  to  do  with  her  discovery  or  if  she  came  across  it  all  on  her  own,   but  she  knows  it's  a  love  that  long  outlasts  any  of  the  recent  nightmares.   buffy  has  only  deepened  this  love,   so  when  this  dog  begins  to  bark,   she  doesn't  bat  an  eye.   }    pardon ?    {  she  questions,   stopping  her  nonexhaustive  ramble  about  the  upcoming  school  year  to  really  examine  the  demeanour  of  her  partner.  }    is ,,  robin,    is  everything  alright ?     you  look  tense.

            it  is  a  crime  board.    {  carrie  refrains  from  explaining  the  pile  of  crimson  spotted  tissues  at  her  side  as  she  addresses her  brother,   stepping  back  to  fully  allow  james  the  view.   }    primarily  reserved  for  noir  films.   i  thought  it  would  be  best  if  i  documented  my. . . theories.

            you  can  go  if  you  are  uncomfortable.    {  from  anyone  else  the  words  may  come  off  taunting,   almost  daring  in  the  nature  that  conflicts  how  carrie  speaks  gently.   she  knows  this  is  risky;  that  is  why  she  came  now,   when  the  time  for  danger  was  at  its  slimmest.    that  still  doesn't  guarantee  the  ideal  outcome.  }    i  will  not  judge  you.   i'm  aware  that  this  is  an  idea  properly  suited  for  crazy  people,    or  perhaps  someone  lacking  common  sense.

'til   your   mom   starts   her   deep   cleaning   routine.

            deep  cleaning?   {  reflexively  carrie  wrinkles  her  nose  in  signature  teenaged  repulsion  at  the  very  idea  of  a  deep  cleaning  day,   shimmying  up  her  window  even  more  for  robin  to  fit  entirely.  }    no  need  to  elaborate.    you  can  hide  here  for  however  long  you  would  like. . .   i  do  not  think  mom  plans  on  deep  cleaning  until  weeks  out  from  now.
