Chapter 8 is now re-published.  It has been revised, revamped, has a new title and double the size of the original as I continue to reshape this story.

OK, so I've accepted the fact that this is a full story rewrite, and the more I update the less future chapters make sense, so I have pulled all the. chapters that I have not yet retouched, and will add them back one by one as I edit them.  I'm finding that the more I go along, the more I'm changing and adding new content.  The new Chapter 7 will be published soon, and I'll work my way back through the rest of the story, making more changes and adding more details and texture as it makes sense.  The bones of the story are still the same, but I've made too many changes to just consider this continuity editing.  I hope you are still interested in following along!

Chapter 6 has been completely rewritten from the ground up, went from 1600 words to 6700 words and has some more serious and graphic material - its starting to feel like what I originally published was more of a first draft and i'm not working on a completed story that has a direction from the start as to where this is going.  I"m gutting this out chapter by chapter.

Chapter 5 has been completely retooled, rewritten and has about 5000 more words than the original.  For anyone reading the rewrites you will see that a lot is changing to be more in line with the story I ended up telling. I’m working on giving more texture and adding a lot more content than how I started.

Chapters 1-3 of Going Home To Doc have been completely revised, all influenced writing by Chat GPT has been completely revamped and texture/additional details have been added to fix continuity as the story has changed.   I"ll pot another update when Chapter 4 is updated as I don't think those notifications come through when editing a posted chapter.   I am making major changes and adding a lot that wasn't previously there, if you are following the story you may want to re-read these.

Chapter one has been completely revamped to fit the story better, it’s also 3x longer than it previously was.  I’m currently working on the same process for chapter two.

There are going to be updates with significant changes to the first few chapters of this story.  When I started out a year ago I was using Chat GPT for a lot of assistance, and I want to rewrite all of it so that its all my writing without AI assistance now that I feel more confident as a writer.  While I'm doing this  I will be adding details and texture that are important for continuity as I changed things along the way.  So If you see notifications for updates for chapters 1-6 over the next few weeks that's why:)

The chapter "For The Love Of Marlena" has re-edited and re-published.  In addition to making the name change, I also did some light overall editing so there are additional passages, and some wording changes from what I published two days ago.

Hi - I just pulled the last chapter I wrote, based on feedback I got to make the chapter less confusing.  I'm going to do a pass at editing the situation with both John's having the same name and will republish.  Thank you to everyone who has given me feedback.

I wanted to let those who are waiting know that I’m working in the next chapter. I had a bit of burnout and took a break from writing but it is currently in progress, it will probably be shorter than usual so that I can something  posted quicker.  I have been doing done reworking on my plans for the story and  there is a lot to come!
