what really saddens me is the lack of mourning and sorrow in the career districts when one of their tributes dies.
rather than mourning the death of their children, those in districts 1 and 2 (and sometimes 4, though not as extreme) focus on the failure of their children.
how sad is that?

he stopped cracking his knuckles and neck for me. he made a list of things we should do together (dates, basically). he made a list of things he likes about me. when I told him he kissed one side of my neck more and it wasn’t even, he redid it to make sure he kissed each side evenly. he came over and told me the countdown until my birthday. he kisses my cheek and holds me close. he shows me off to his brother and father. he compliments me.
