          «I know you can feel it, Sam.» Vecna spoke, waking her from her thoughts. «I know you can feel his death. He’s going to —»
          
          «He won’t die.» Sam replied, looking at him. She could feel Eddie’s pain. It hadn’t happened yet, but soon he would be mortally wounded. And she had to prevent that. «Not if—»
          
          «If you’re there, with him?» Vecna smiled, taking a step forward. «But you can’t be here and there at the same time, Sam. You have to choose.»
          
          Sam hated that, but he was right. She had to choose. But she didn’t know what to do.
          
          Stay with Max and try to defeat Vecna or break the mental connection and running to Eddie to save him?
