I was born in Birmingham in 1946 Came to Canterbury in 1948 with my mother and 2 brothers.  I went to Wincheap primary school. my grandfather helped to build the school.  He was a carpenter  I left Wincheap and went to Frank Hooker. this was then a new school .  It had only been built for 1 year so i was 2nd intake in the school.  I left there and started work and trained as a wood machinist did that for 3 years left there and had  a number of jobs until i joined the post office as a temporary job that lasted for 30 years.
