“Ewan ko ba. Feeling ko kasi para akong naglalagay ng armor kapag nakasuot ako ng makeup.”
“Armor’s good.”
But the way Kenny whispers it is more like a reassurance. Hindi lang para kay Paula kundi… para na rin sa kanyang sarili. Because more often than not, her confidence feels like a front, a way of making sure no one can ever get under her skin. If she’s being honest, even though Paula is her closest friend, she still doesn’t let herself be entirely emotionally open with her.
“Pero hindi ka naman pupunta ng gyera, ‘di ba? It’s just a date.”
Saglit na napakagat ng labi si Paula bago hinayaan si Kenny na simulan ang kanyang lip makeup. “Madaling sabihin ‘yun para sa ‘yo. Baka pa nga kahit na pagsuotin ka ng sako, eh ang hot mo pa ding tingnan.”
Kenny’s eyes light up, obviously amused by the compliment. “Wow. Keep talking.” A grin slowly tugs at the corners of her lips as she presses a hand dramatically to her chest. “Utuhin mo pa ako at baka pakasalan na kita niyan.”

@faithnicolemarino aww huehue I kinda regret tuloy na binura yung story dahil sa tagal ko ring naging inactive at naging inconsistent sa pagupdate. I never thought na may nagaabang pa ng update from my first and unfinished story. Ngayon ay may rason na ako at ikaw yun :'> I'll be revising the story once more at irerepost yun para sayo, hopefully sa ber months this year o January next year dahil anniv ko yun as a writer.
