            still?   i  told  you  already,   (darlin').    {  with  a  casual  roll  of  her  neck  mara  stares  into  daisy's  inquisitive  eyes,   not  blinking  nor  making  any  movement.   she's  always  been  too  intense —  or,   that's  what  she's  heard.   mara  thinks  it's  just  right.  }    i'm  immortal.   you  can  shoot  until  i  look  less  whole  than  an  army  man's  target  practice,   but  that  won't  change  a  thing.    {  temptation  finally  wins.   she's  enjoying  herself,   more  amused  than  threatened  as  she  opens  her  mouth  slightly  wider,   allowing  four  pointed  canines  to  properly  lengthen  into  the  full,   knife-like  attributes  she  now  only  displays  for  added  emphasis.  }    i  ain't  your  normal  human.   and  i  dunno  if  you've  noticed,   but  neither  is  vik.   not  a  farm  sitter  one,   anyway.

( @livingdeaths- ) (    daisy snorts softly , smiling right back at mara , even though her eyes flicked down to how the other was nervously playing with her ring    ) i’ll have to agree with ya there , ‘don’t think it really helped anyone with anything really , even though we’re all happy , somethings just feel … off sometimes (    things feel off partly because daisy still isn’t used to most aspects of ‘ modern ‘ living , even if it’d been six years , but also because of the strange things that seemed to follow the family everywhere , the cult , the weird disappearances that constantly surrounded drea’s girlfriend , and now the sudden new powers and impending end of the world once more    ) maybe , or maybe the universe just likes fuckin’ us over

            much  as  i  trust  anyone  else  in  this  family,   'nd  i  married  into  it.    {  the  smile  she  offers  is  that  of  a  faint  reassurance,   almost  endeared  by  the  actions  the  younger  seems  to  be  taking.   it's  the  only  trace  of  relaxation  her  demeanour  seems  to  have,   still  twirling  her  ring  in  building  tension.   she  hasn't  had  reason  to  be  on  edge  in  a  long  time;  too  long,   in  fact.  }    even  so,   i've  figured  t'  never  take  anything  at  face  value.    everyone  around  here  seems  t'  get  better  at  miscommunication  with  every  disaster  we  have,   y'know ??     ( .. )     the  problem  was  the  peacefulness.   i  can't  say  i  think  any  of  us  know  what  happens  when  we're  not  stressed  beyond  reasonable  belief,   and  surprise  surprise:  we  still  don't  know.   maybe  we're  little  cosmic  jesters.

            never  said  you  were.   {  mara  replies  briskly,   folding  her  arms  as  she  leans  against  the  doorframe.  }    i  know  enough  about  gettin'  angry  t'  know  what  is  and  isn't  a  time  bomb.   much  as  i  like  her,   she  crossed  a  line  'nd  got  popped  for  it.   fair's  fair.
