Ok so Hi guys!! I'm Teena! I have decided that I'm going to start posting my reviews of books for my followers to look at and for them to hopefully get inspired to read these books! I'll be rating them on a 5-point scale and then I'll give a little summary. It won't be long, I promise this is probably the longest one just because I'm doing the intro.
The first book is one I just finished reading. It's called "My Brother's Best Friend". I know, the title sounds super cliché, and it seems like just any other "girl falls in love with brother's best friend, everything is peachy then something happens and they break up only to getback together and life is great again" story. I thought so too. But I have to say that the author @knightsrachel is a silver tongued genius! The storyline is incredibly intricate and well-written, unlike some other books that I've read on here. The author deals with a lot of tough issues such as self harm, anorexia, eating disorders, death, family struggles (I won't go too much into this because I really want you guys to read this yourselves) and she deals with these issues extremely tastefully and is relatable, completely inoffensive and creative. I think this is due to the fact that she really communicate with her readers. After each chapter she asks questions and occasionally responds to let her readers know that she is reading their reponses and cares. she also uses breaks in the story to adress anything readers are confused about to help them understand. I think it's really important because these books are written by people on the app, and sometimes things sound great in your head, butare confusing on paper. The fact that she goes back and clear things up helps to build a great relationship with her readers and it makes you want to read her book more. Thank you Rachel!!!
