@cocoithinknot it totally was! I think you're the first person to notice  but I tried to remove all mentions of anything that could help people guess their race, ethnicity, whatever. So I don't mention skin color or eye color or nose shape or anything like that. 

@idmcnally you're welcome! I think it's very interesting.  I initially added it to my library because it seems like it's inspired by myths and stories from traditional west african religions(at least the frequent mention of spirits really reminds me of the religion ha ha) and I love reading stories like that!
