it’s 4am and i can’t sleep because i’m still so annoyed about having my fics stolen
the thing is, it’s literally sat in my drafts ready to post (just missing a cover), and i was going to post it but now i just feel like i can’t post my own work because i’m going to have to prove ownership of my own work… like the person that stole my fic had a lot of views on that book so it’s not like some people wouldn’t recognise it
just mad how one ignorant child can ruin your whole experience, like i really feel like i don’t want to share/post my work on any platform now

@levisvedin i just feel like i can’t bc it had so many reads… like it’s one thing to just have a couple of hundred but it had so many. i just don’t feel like it would get the reaction or feedback that it would have without someone else posting it /: like she got all those views and comments and votes and lbr people aren’t gonna read it if they’ve already read it once… especially if it’s from a different account. i just didn’t see there being any point to it. why would they read something that they’ve already read? i just feel like i’m constantly going to be explaining that this idiot stole my work and having to prove it.

you can still post your story! the obx fandom is extremely big here on tumblr and just explain in the beginning that’s your story!! i’m sure many new readers will find it and old readers as well

i was going to start posting my completed obx series from tumblr but looks like @voidmaybank has already done that for me, without my consent. and considering that it actually got a lot of views, it looks like i can’t actually post my own writing that i spent hours/days working on because it’s already been read on someone’s else’s account. also, what i find even more insulting is that void-maybank was my tumblr url when she first started posting my stuff.

@-voidlupin i’m just angry because apologising doesn’t make any of it right. your “well what do you want me to do about it” attitude is my problem. you don’t understand why it’s wrong or how it effects me and every other writer you stole from. it’s not fair for you to take all of the credit for all of our hard work. i don’t care about the username in the grand scheme of things, it was just a made an observation and when you responded i corrected you.

@voidmaybank i’m not even going to get into how “deeply apologising” doesn’t do shit. you know it’s wrong yet still did it. and i’m just going to say it straight, do not bullshit me. i have only ever had two urls on tumblr, void-maybank and cognacdelights. milamaybank isn’t me and hasn’t ever been me. because mila isn’t my name. milamaybank (who is now milazska) is an entirely separate person. don’t lie to me and tell me about my own account like you know these things better than me because you’ve been caught out lying and stealing.
