            in hindsight , maybe it was a bad idea to make a deal.. a PACT with a literal GOD but homer was far too deep into it now and he was determined to see it through .  especially considering his very soul was on the line after all , but that’s not what his point was about .  he wanted to show that even mortals like him had meaning , had beauty , he’d prove that one way or another .  “ i was the one who made the deal .  not the other way around so if you have anyone to be upset about  ,  it’s me .  ” he admitted , a strange wave of confidence wavering through him at that admission .  though , if he were being honest , he was in fact internally freaking out as well .  “ we honestly don’t know HOW this happened or the fact he’s trapped in a mortal body .  all i know is he’s not the only one either on this campus .  ”

* to say hermes was disappointed in man , was an understatement . he had not felt genuine stress until now . and he knew that maybe some divine intervention was needed to be set into place . what is it with humans and meddling with godly affairs ? *

            homer felt his jaw almost completely drop but the mortal attempted to keep his composure , which in all reality , he wasn’t hiding very well to begin with anyways .  “ hold on—  as in THE hermes ?  well  ,  guess i can’t keep being surprised .  ” he shock off said ‘surprise’ off his face in order to carefully explain .  “ something like that .  in short  ,  i have to prove the wonders of humanity and get myself into elysium .  if i fail ? another funny story actually..  i’ll be sent to tartarus .  ”

            for a moment , the mortal pursed his lip .  although reluctant , he did eventually remove his hands from covering up the doodle itself .  “ just..  don’t laugh at it  ,  okay ?  i’m no da vinci or picasso .  ”

     the god of the underworld rose a brow at how quickly the man was to hide the doodle . it made hades rather curious now . `` may I have a look ? `` he asked with genuine curiosity . or well as genuine as he could get .

            homer leaped ever so lightly from where he’d been sitting at , hands quickly covering the doodle .  “ i sometimes forget how quiet you are..  ” he somewhat mumbled , easing his posture a bit .  “ and it’s nothing special  ,  really .  i’d hardly call myself an artist—  ”

/ for those who don’t know what ‘my roommate is hades’ is , it’s a youtube series , only two episodes as of current .  but basically , homer lehrer is a second-time college student who ended up sharing a room with the god of the dead , hades .  there are other deities introduced in the series (so far just hermes and hephaestus) and basically homer makes a deal/pact with hades that if he can prove to him that humanity / humans are worth it than homer can be accepted into elysium as well as finding just how or why the gods have been sent to the mortal realm (and who sent them in the first place) ANYWHO Y’ALL SHOULD WATCH IT I BEG OF YOU .
