Hi! Okay, so this coming year, I'm going to be the new color guard captain and I'm extremely worried and nervous (mostly worried). I only have 1 year of experience and all I know is the flag. All the really good members were seniors and so you know, they all graduated. And now I'm really worried that I can't do anything in the shows because I don't know rifle or sabre or anything like that. Advice please?

Hi there! I've read your story on Color Guard advice and I've loved it! I'll definitely remember it, since I wear glasses and it's my school's first year with marching band. (We had our first competition and we've won two first place trophies and five second place!) But I wish I had found this out before the competition, it would have been better probably, even though we performed in moderate rain. But, thank you for writing it! :)

And for you funny story thing. Boy do I have some stories for you. Let me know if you want them and tell me how to get them to you.

I love the fact that someone is making a page dedicated to my favorite activity outside of sleeping and listening to music (but I can do the second one while practicing at home) thanks for doing this!

Hey, this is my first year doing color guard. My compition is Saturday. I am really nervous, and I was wondering if you have any tips on calming myself down?
