I live in California but I am originally from Italy, where I did my schooling.
I joined the military and eventually I found a plane to take me as far as I could go from my family (love you mom). That was many years ago.
Writing has always been in my blood, but switching from Italian to English has been a struggle. I am really good at business emails and writing catalog style copy. I am better than anyone I know at writing product descriptions. What a weird and useless skill to have in the Amazon.com era.
I have no idea if my writing is passable. I usually hate it when I read my first drafts, which doesn't bode well for my second drafts.
I joined Wattpad quite some time ago and then life got in the way and I never actively participated. I regret that now, but work and a serious illness didn't make things easy.
Part of it is that I liked the idea of having other members comment on my writing. I thought it would be an excellent way to improve.
Then I read the comments on other people's work. Better than YouTube comments, a low bar I know, but not what I was expecting.
I am glad no one will be reading this profile. I got depressed just spell checking it.
Did I mention I suck at spelling? I suck so much I write my short stories on my iPhone so I can be a bit more... creative with my spelling and 9 times out of 10 predictive spelling gets it right.
Well, time to go. I hope you are still awake. If that's the case, click one of those thingies above and visit some other page. You'll be glad you did.
No, you cannot get the five minutes back. Sorry. Call the BBB.
