There are currently 245 fires in greece, half of my country is burning, a mechanism arsonists use was found less than a kilometer from where I live. Please someone wake me up from this nightmare I can't fucking do this

@cooksbitch we heard a boom last night from where the mechanism was found, we called a guy that works are the football (im not calling it soccer) pitch near there (there is a little Forrest where they found it) and nothings going on, the fire is moving to the north but there is a lot of wind today so that's bad. One of my dad's best friends live at a town town is currently burning, the fire moved away from Italy night but there was a resurgence so shuts happening again, my town is safe for the moment but we have our bags packed just in case

I am extremely lucky due to he fact that there is a big highway between where I live and the fire, so it will most likely not come here. Others have not been as lucky as me, their houses burned down and the prime minister is giving money to cops and taking a vacation... what are the cops gonna do now mr koulis huh?? Go and beat the fire??

Just to fill you in a bit on what's going on in greece rn, there are many wildfires, one of them near my home in the northern suburbs of Athens, we don't have enough firefighters or vehicles to help put the fire down why? Because our government decided that it's better to give money to cops than to give it to the fire departments when the country is literally burning. No channel is broadcasting live, what's happening right now, the only updates we get, we get from Twitter and our prime minister is on vacation... real fucking nice mate. The only xhannel that called the government out on not giving money to the fire departments instantly stopped broadcasting for 15 minutes after the statement.
