My name is Lavonte Ricks. I am a writer, and I am a poet. When I write, I am mainly a fantasy-fiction writer, but I do dabble in Horror, Chicklit, and Science Fiction. When I write poetry, it is based off of my feelings.  I started writing when I was in Middle School. I won my first ever writing contest, for a fantasy-fiction, and after that I stuck with it. I guess you could say it became a passion of mine.
