Due to my obligations to a larger, non-fanfiction writing project I've been working on, I will need to unfortunately place 'Flesh and Bone' on hold for about a month or so. When that project is finished and properly handled-- or at a point where I don't need to split my attention between it and 'Flesh and Bone'-- I will resume production.

I have not run out of ideas, and indeed I have an entire storyboard on my computer of exactly what I want to do and where I want to go with this fanfiction. However, my other project is at a crucial point where it's 90-95% completed, but needs my all to reach the end.

To this point, I must follow my own personal mantra for writing: "Don't half-ass two things, whole-ass one thing.". 'Flesh and Bone' will return long before the end of the year, and if I get some free time I will work on the next chapter so that it'll be ready to be posted as soon as I'm able to.

I want to provide all of you, my readers, my full and utter attention, and I feel like the fact I've been missing my own Monday upload day at least 3 times in a row these past few weeks is unfair to you. So, unfortunately, I an pressing the pause-- but not stop!-- button.

Cecile and Isen, John and Sera, Arlo and Elaine, Blyke and Remi, and Terrence and Otis shall return soon enough. :)

@uru-chan-is-queen Thank you so much!! I really do appreciate everyone being so understanding lmao. And the thing I need to work on will potentially be published and (hopefully) pay me, which will give me more room and freetime to work on fanfics (and read them, too, lol) :)

Hello, all! I was wondering: are you all enjoying the story 'Flesh and Bone'? I don't really receive any comments anymore on Wattpad or AO3, so it's been pretty hard for me to gauge user interest or if people are enjoying what I've been making. I guess part of me hopes that just means everyone's just vibing with it, but another part of me worries that I'm just continually putting out worse and worse product that people have stopped enjoying a long time ago.

What do you think? Please, I genuinely want to hear some feedback!

@uru-chan-is-queen and thank you for the compliment, I really do appreciate it! I hope to keep exceeding your expectations very soon!

I have a question for you, my followers: do you prefer my chapters to be at around 3.5k words, which I consider to be a standard size, or do you like it when I make them a bit on the longer side, around 5k-6k words?

I generally try to make the chapters as long as I feel that each need to be to accommodate the story's plot, but at the same time it'd be nice to know what you all think. :-)

@uru-chan-is-queen And cliffhangers are a plus. Make 'em come back for more >:)

@uru-chan-is-queen I like to reserve longer chapters for action scenes, intense drama, or conclusions. I dunno what the average person likes, especially in fanfics (since it's different than a book you can just bookmark a page for later on). And longer chapters can be a lot more fun for obvious reasons, but Wattpad's thing that tells you how long it'd take to read the chapter has made me very self-conscious lmaoo

@cooolBeans123 I suffer from the same problems, I tend to write 5-6k long chapters, but I've experienced that shorter chapters, or splitting up longer chapters at cliff hangers makes things more manageable to write. (I like long chapters tho-)

DUDE. I just read your story, five stages of John Doe, IT WAS AMAZING. A real breath of fresh air after most UnO fanfics nowadays

@Shogun9 Thank you so much! I got it done in just a few hours of writing because I was hit with just an avalanche of inspiration! I'm really happy you enjoyed it! :) ‍♂️
