Always feel the need to defend English Rose & I just want to say I think all the subplots makes a lot more sense when recognising the fact that I didn’t intent for it to be a story read by hundreds of people. 
          
          I started this story off when I was 14 purely as a means of making somewhere for my hormonal teenager thoughts to go. Then when I was 15 I fancied another celebrity, and found a way to weave them into the story and unfortunately I tend not to have space for two men in my heart at once. 
          
          But I am back, and I’m editing. My current hyperfixation keeps fluctuating between Robert de Niro and Cillian Murphy right now, so I feel in a pretty confident state that I’m going to do a good job rounding off the love triangle - or even developing it you never know - when I’m not feeling overly attached to different members of the love triangle. But yeah, I know I posted that notice chapter and have been radio silent since then. I’m going through chapter by chapter, as some I’m merging and changing completely or adding completely new plot points to the story. Logistically, I don’t really know how to do it; I can’t just delete the first few chapters how they are now and replace them with my edits, and then leave the rest of the story unedited. What I was thinking was I could make a temporary new story, which has the edited chapters in until I have enough to put them into the main story.

if you hate me now things are about to get eeeven more complicated.
          
          Also thanks to the person posting spoilers on my wall, forcing me to release chapters I am unsatisfied with; English Rose is not a ‘catfish’ story, just an unfinished project by an inactive writer.

omg freaked out when I saw you were active a few months back, currently on my bimonthly reread of you’re a germ, begging for an update I’ve loved this books for years!!

Hi long time no speak! Im writing as an update to English Rose. I’ve left it untouched for a long time (as you all know lol) and I think I’ve figured out a way to keep everyone happy as I’m really not happy about the way it’s been left of a cliffhanger for so long.
          
          Obviously my issue previously was that I didn’t know how to resolve the Holly/Liam/Graham love triangle, as I felt like I had pursued too much energy into a platonic relationship between Holly and Liam and frankly, I still feel this way. I don’t feel any romantic chemistry between Holly and Liam as I’m writing their interactions.
          
          So my suggestion is, take the most recent chapter published as the canon last part to the first instalment of the English rose series, but I will write a couple of chapters for those who want to see a happy ending between Liam and Holly to do with what you will but they will not be part of the canon plot.
          
          Then I would write a sequel as a second book with the actual canon events that take place after the chapter “how to disappear completely”, and Liam would obviously also play a big role in this book too as that storyline was left unfinished. 
          
          Let me know what you guys think as I know I’ve not updated in over 3 years now (sorry!) but I’m slowly of getting back into the swing of things, and obviously by keeping everyone happy I mean keeping you guys happy while also getting to explore all of my ideas.

hi are you still writing english rose? it’s an amazing book!

hello just wanted to say thank you for all the support for the past few years as I've been writing English Rose. It's been a pleasure to be able to come back to it after taking massive breaks off from it and still receive what I consider to be an amazing response to my writing! Now, since I began writing this story, I have had a vague idea about where I wanted this to go and I've never been able to find the right way to get to that point, but I finally feel like I'm at a good place for the story to move on and I'm really excited about it! ENGLISH ROSE IS NOWHERE NEAR FINISHED!!! I have one chapter left to publish right now and I would then encourage you to think of that as a part 1.... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS READ IT!!! KEEP COMMENTING AND VOTING IT DOES WONDERS FOR MY SELF ESTEEM!!!!
