Steve opened the driver's door quickly and got in, "If this is what I think it is...we're fucked." He turned on the car. 
          
          "What do you mean, 'if this is what you think it is?'" Robin asked worriedly. 
          
          "Well, Robin, you see...a bunch of cop cars in the forest could only mean two things. One, Eddie ran out of the dock house to freedom when we weren't looking, and two...another murder. And I guarantee you we would've seen a man with long hair and leather running in the woods," Steve started to drive, surprisingly quickly. 
          
          "Well that's just fucking fantastic," You said sarcastically.

Eddie, upon hearing Max, immediately removed his arm from your shoulder and turned to stare at you, concerned, "What the hell are you getting yourself into?"
          
          You chuckled slightly and sighed, "Relax, I'm not doing anything crazy."
          
          "Yeah, until you are !" Eddie grabbed your shoulders, "You haven't been through this before, can't you just leave it to them?"
          
          You stared right into his eyes, "My best friend just died. If I can fucking be a part of avenging her...I'm going to be," You clenched your fist.
          
          Eddie bit his lip and sighed deeply.
          
          "And..." You looked down taking a deep and shaky breath, which Eddie noticed, making him ease the grip he had on your shoulders, "I can't stand to see another day where you're being blamed for it," Your voice broke, which seemed to make Eddie tense up.
          
          Eddie, being much taller than you, lowered his head and pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head. He closed his eyes, leaving his lips there for a long moment.
          
          "...Stay safe...please."
          
          You looked up at him with a soft but deep gaze. You had a small, sad smile on your face as he looked back down at you with those beautiful, glossy brown eyes of his. "I will," You whispered softly.
