***A great writer is a great reader***

I've always loved to write--to read. I've had a love for words, for language, since a very young age. My parents said that I began to read at the age of 3, so they enrolled me into preschool early, and I LOVED it! My grandma still talks about the poems and short stories I used to write while spending summers with her and my grandpa--she's saved them all these years. 

I have an MFA in Creative Writing and several published poems since. I was an Adjunct Professor of English for about six years, too. I learned so much about myself from my students during those years, and I appreciate the experience.

Next to writing, singing and writing music are passions of mine as well. Although I would say that I do sing a lot of jazz, I really enjoy various genres.

I am an endometriosis warrior, a fighter of  Rheumatoid Arthritis, and a chronic migraine sufferer. I not only write about these things in multitudinous genres/media, but they've also made me a stronger and empathetic person--which I feel comes across in my writing. 

I hope that whatever I write is accessible to other readers and writers. I do write in my blog CosmopolitanMuse--it would be great to see you all there!
