Is social media beneficial to society? Heres my take: no. I purposefully avoided commenting on facebook for almost a year because the online bullying is that bad. People simply can not have an opinion without being "laugh reacted". You say your part, but someone else has their own opinion, and everybody wants theirs to be the truest so they HAVE to bring others down by leaving laugh reacts or leaving snarky comments because they want others to laugh with them, AT me. I think social media has rotted our brains. I think that if we ALL minded our own business, focused on OUR lives, our FAMILY and FRIENDS instead of being a keyboard warrior the world would be in a better place. I watched a program of a slavic young boy and is day by day life living in the icy winter. He is expected to cut his own wood, collect water to have an ice cold bath, feed his grandmothers animals and go to school. He looked HAPPY. You take a phone off a kid today and they wont know what to do with themselves. If Google suddenly went down it would take us 30 years to find our way again without technology. I've been bullied here as well by 15 year olds. Bullying is everywhere. It isnt ok, no MATTER who's wrong or right

Oh and btw, the reason i was bullied on facebook was over a meme someone posted of a Macaw sat on top of a salad. A guy commented Toucan on Slaw so i posted a photo of what a toucan was to kindly show him the difference between a toucan and a macaw. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE laugh reacted my comment. I dont understand why and it is distressing me, the one time i leave a comment after half a year of fearing putting down comments and im being bullied for it. This is why I dont leave comments. Now im going back to living in a cave
