            “ call them what you’d like .  all things considered..  you’re still the dramatic type .  ” felix wasn’t wrong in his assumption , or rather his..  analysis .  he knew what great lengths someone such as enzo would go through for him , especially for something feeble as a kiss .  it amused the german to no end , wondering just what exactly would be their goal this time around .  as for public displays of affections ?  well , it was an iffy subject for felix but he didn’t mind it ever now and again— although he did rather prefer it just be the two of them alone together .  like it was now .  “ no need to beg  ,  if it’s a kiss you’re after..  you’re more than welcome to take it .  i’m not stopping you..  geh weiter und küss mich .  go on and kiss me .  ”

            "they're not dramatics  ,  just truths." he mumbled before giving a small nod. "I always want to kiss you  ...  we just get busy  ,  so I have to wait. I don't like waiting." neither of them tended to be fond of pda  ,  so affection was usually restricted to the moments they could get alone  ,  and their personal rooms. enzo couldn't stomach being away from the other for more than a few days  (  he'd much rather   /  never  /   go a day without seeing felix  )   and lacking the affection from the other was always disorienting. both his body and mind paused at the term of endearment  ,  eyes slightly widening. then with a quiet noise he pushed forward  ,  not allowing himself to initiate a kiss  ,  but clearly more desperate for one. "please  ,  felix  ...  please — " the pleas tumbled from his lips in a quiet mantra.

            silence over took him as he listened , expression seemed to softened more .  felix couldn’t help but to shake his head lightly , in no way were those words true .  “ you’re always with the dramatics .  do you really wish for a kiss that badly ?  ” he couldn’t help but to laugh , brushing a thumb over enzo’s cheek .  “ well..  i suppose you did ask so nicely .  guter junge  ,  enzo .  ”

            "dying by something like  ,  like this would be boring. you should think up another way  .. " he mumbled while gently taking the cigarette from the other. if he didn't end up dying by an explosion  ,  enzo would find a way to come back just out of spite. 
            
            enzo's inhaled a lot of smoke throughout his life. definitely too much to be considered healthy. even so  ,  his face scrunched up a bit as he took a drag from the cigarette. more out of confusion than dislike. he blew out the smoke with a hum  ,  head tilted in thought. "it's  ...  odd. less ashy  ,  not enough fire  ,  fire."

the soldier waved a hand as if to say ' yeah , yeah , ' gloves soaked a dark red . it released a cloud of smoke and offered his own cigarette , not keen on wasting a fresh stick if the other disliked it . 
            
            ' shitty and cheap , they are killing me slowly . just how i like . . . here , have a try . '

            ironically  ,  for a man so fascinated with everything to do with fire  ,  he had never given smoking a try. "enzo  ,  not explosives guy." he mumbled with a slight huff. "  ...  is it any  ,  any good? never had one before." he spared a glance at the scene  ,  giving a mere tilt of his head at the destruction that lay.

            an amused huff escaped him as the other’s clear disgruntlement , knowing enzo never much cared for moving away from him at any given time .  “ it’s a big thing to ask someone .  to..  bring them to your home country and city for the very first time .  ” something of which felix had never done before , didn’t have many experiences when it came to relationships .  “ you’re quite cheesy as always..  aren’t you ?  should consider writing a poem perhaps .  ” he chuckled softly , lips turning upwards in order to form a soft smile .

            with a departing squeeze he pulled away. not willing to completely lose contact with the other  ,  enzo held on to one of his hands. "nervous? I think you should know by now that I'd go anywhere with you. as long as you're there  ,  then I wanna be there too. you're like  ...  the sun. without you everything would be dark and I'd eventually die." the words were said in a serious tone  ,  head nodding along as if to agree.

            caught off guard by this , felix would move his arms so that one could awkwardly pat the other on the back .  “ i wouldn’t doubt it .  ” he let out a small laugh , lips remaining in an utmost gentle smile .  “ it brings me great relief knowing you agree .  if..  i’m honest i was a bit nervous to ask at first .  ”

"mm  ...  I mean I have ideas  ,  but I'm not allowed to  ,  to assume.. usually makes people mad." he rocked on his heels  ,  hands folded behind his back. "so why don't you just tell me? you seem like someone  ,  someone who likes to talk about himself." he replied  ,  pausing a bit as he replayed the end of that. after a moment he shrugged again  ,  not caring to fix the slip of mind. excuses made things worse  ,  might as well accept it.

            phillip— no .  GRAVES , couldn’t stand the withhold .  could never stand being held back , it gnawed at him like a cage dog longing to he free .  and now he was , leash no longer gnashing at his neck .  graves was free to do as he pleases , command his own men without too much draw back .  enjoyed the pleasure it brought him .  “ appreciate not having to explain myself then .  ” he said simply , clearly not shocked about the other reading about his documents .  it was common amongst soldiers and other authorities , at least graves didn’t have to explain more about his details for being here .  “ so you know what i’m after  ,  yeah ?  unless that head of yours needs another run down .  ”

            enzo merely shrugged  ,  not bothered by the insulting comment. it was factual  —  he couldn't refute it  ,  so he didn't mind. "they do spew a lot of that  ,  huh? telling them to their faces ends badly though." not that that ever detoured him. if anything  ,  it just made him do it more. "I've heard a few stories  ...  read your file too! not that they let me  ... " he's never been directly told he   /  couldn't  /   —  therefore  ,  no rules were broken upon breaking into their database.

            felix felt his heart overflowing with mixed emotions , one of them being love—  so full of it it almost sickened him .  almost as if his chest was about ready to burst with the amount of it .  he still didn’t regret a thing , would enzo even until those final days .  soon a small breath escaped him as both men were eventually laid back down , though his blue eyes never seemed to leave the other .  even whilst both hands moved somewhat around them , enjoying the feeling of being so close to someone—  of being held .  “ i have not loved in quite some time  ,  there were often fleeting chances of romance and yet you’re the only one who stuck..  who remained .  i’m utmost grateful for that  ,  not once or ever will i take that for granted .  words are never enough to expression just how much you truly mean to be  ,  enzo .  i hope you know that..  ”

            enzo was quick to lean into the contact. nuzzling into the hand and letting his eyes flutter closed. now that felix was comfortable removing his gloves around him  ,  he eagerly took every moment offered. relishing in the new form of contact he was allowed to experience with the other. for a moment he didn't respond  ,  content with the silence that washed over them. then with a puff of air he gently lowered the both of them back into the bed. blankets were pulled back up  ,  and throughout it all  ,  enzo made sure he never fully let go of felix. "amo te  ,  felix. you are the only person I could ever love  ,  the only person I have loved. you may give or take whatever you want from me. right now just holding you is plenty enough for me."

            “ i’d like to show my thanks in some form or way .  as minimal as it might be..  i wish to .  no  ,  WANT to .  ” he answered wholeheartedly , every word pulled right from his chest .  throughout everyone on the team , enzo..  enzo was the only one who could just as easily see through him .  almost as if both men were different sides of the same coin .  “ when i look at you  ,  all i see is the same grey as mine .  ever changing in hue..  ever flowing .  ” he smiled , hands remained gripping against the other’s .  his expression would soften at those words , not caring how enzo stumbled on certain words or phrases .  “ despite what you may think..  you’ve always been quite the charmer  ,  you know that ?  somehow knowing just exactly what i need to hear .  ”  a soft chuckle escaped the german , one hand slipping from enzo’s grasp in order to splay across their cheek— his gloves often discarded when just them .  as it was now .  “ ich liebe dich  ,  i love you .  and that won’t ever change no matter how much time as flown .  ”

            enzo gave a slight tilt of his head  ,  suddenly quiet. was it suggesting that he had a choice to leave? to go along with someone he had no knowledge on other than the few small details he's learned from their conversation ..
            
            his eyes looked down at the cuffs around his hands  ,  chains meant to stay on so long that they were made to be more   '  comfortable  '. in reality  ,  it just gave him less control. he never knew when they'd snap together  —  when he'd lose part of his mobility. not to mention the tracker  ...  he'd do more bad than good leaving.
            
            "leave my hands alone and you can do  ,  can do whatever you need to! and I'll   ...  I'll have to stay behind  ,  I'd give you away if I went with." with a bit of a laugh he stood up  ,  setting the computer on a nearby table. "pass  ,  pass? that's no fun  ...  well  ,  well that's your loss!" although if someone offered him bombs he'd probably decline too. he didn't trust any explosives that weren't made by his own hands.

the austrian had no doubt its commanding officer would be pissed with its radio silence , especially having found someone as useful as enzo , but that had never stopped his escapades before . as long as it returned to the exfil with information , at the agreed time , they'd dish out no stronger punishment than a timeout and a lecture on communication . 
            it wasn't insubordination if he helped . that's what he told himself anyway . 
            
            while enzo got comfortable , krueger stayed on its feet , though moved to the corner , and leant against the wall with it's rifle drawn . intent on guarding the door while the other worked .
            it wouldn't do either of them any good to be caught with their pants down , so to speak . 
            
            it listened to the man as he typed and gave a shrug , he hadn't come prepared for much else other than to kill , and said as much . 
            ' i don't have anything useful on me , nein ( no ) , but it is all useless to me without concrete evidence . unless you wish to gamble on meeting my squad , one of which has everything computer related , i have nothing . . . ' 
            though if the soldier radioed in , there was no guarantee that they'd leave enzo unharmed , or that they wouldn't take him with them . 
            
            ' a nuke ? ja ( yeah ) , that's not surprising , our leader worked alongside the 141 , knows all about shepherd's love for missiles . . . if i shoot you in the leg , rough you around a bit , can i take this laptop of yours ? that is if you wish to stay . . . and nein , i will have to pass on your bombs this time , alter ( bro / dude / mate ) . '

            with a hum and a moment of thought he nodded. he could get access to that  ,  even without the proper clearance. he turned away from the other with a bit of a skip in his step. after locating his computer he did the most logical thing and  —  sat on the floor. "don't know what I can get on bank  ,  bank accounts  ,  but the other two should be easy enough  ,  as long   ,  long as they're in the database." finding a way past all the security had been enzo's entertainment for the first few months he was here. hacking wasn't his strong suit and he had to be extra careful considering he would easily be caught with any mistake. he didn't care much for the punishment  —  but taking away his computer would take away his fun  ,  so he took an uncharacteristic amount of caution.
            
            "do you just  ,  do you just want to look at it  ,  or send it to yourself? sending it might give you away  ...  'm not a tech guy  ,  so you'd be better off dealing  ,  dealing with that." a few more moments and he was turning the electronic towards the man. a split screen different files was open. "and the golden eagle guy? never  ,  never met him  —  but I've gotten assignments from  ,  from him before. ..  is it helpful if  ,  if I tell you he has a small nuke?" despite the words he gave a wide smile. 
            
            "here you  ,  you go. also  ,  you should probably do something to make it look like I didn't just  ,  just give this to you. I don't want them to take away my bo  —  .. " ha trailed off  ,  suddenly perking up. "bombs! oohh do you want one? they've never blown  ,  blown anything up here. at least not in a dangerous way." even though he had tried multiple times. they always saw it as defiance  —  he was just curious.
