Where the water meets the sand,
Where the children play.
They frolic in the crisp sea air,
They are free.
Little and naive; old and wise,
Everyone is free.
The castles and tunnels in the gritty sand.
Parents and children smile and laugh,
Every life worry is gone.
Love of families and couples fills the surrounding air,
No cries, no sadness everyone is overjoyed.
Happy and free are the only feelings
Children run; it’s impossible for them to stop now
The little cry that they make as they hit the icy cold water.
They freeze but only for a moment
They feel they have no choice; they dive in.
The water hits them like one hundred needles
They soon are captured by the sea
It releases them for just one moment
All that is heard is laughter.
Every pain, every struggle has left their thoughts.
Wave after wave is dodged with such ease
Water splashes into their mouths
Salt spoils the taste in their mouth
They make faces until the taste disappears.
They prepare for the next wave to hit.
The sun slowly starts to fall
It slowly disappears over the water
The warm sea air cools.
The cool breeze comes off the sea.
It hits them and sends chills down their bodies.
It’s time for everyone to leave.
The beach goes trickle off in small groups.
The youngest of the children asleep.
Their dads carry them to the car.
They dream about the next day to come.
All the families pile into their cars to leave.
They all head to their hotel rooms.
Everyday is a gift, cherish every moment you have.
