Just wanted to swing by and drop the opening lines from my current WIP, the story I hope to post to Wattpad soon. This is from the sapphic, zombie-ish story I was pitching to agents for a while. I got the last response I was waiting on, which ended up being a rejection, so I figured I might as well post it here instead of letting it rot.
Anyway, here's the opening!

Hey! Thanks for the message. So, ultimately, I took Gideon’s Few down because I didn’t realize when I started writing the story that I didn’t have a great foundation. The characters were kinda flat, the plot was all over the place, and there was no true villain. It started with the idea of writing an enemies to lovers story and I ran with it. When I realized the story was not turning out as great as I’d expected, I pulled it from Wattpad to rework it. Unfortunately, since then, I’ve written a different zombie novel that I’m currently querying, and I rewrote Loser and am now trying to get that published as well. So, basically, it just fell onto a permanent back burner. I still hope to take some elements from the story and implement them in other places but, for now, it’s just an unfinished work.

Hey! Just finished reading Loser. I KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT ALL DAY. Thank you so much! Have you ever thought about actually giving this to an agency? Cause ngl that would make an amazing show. Its interesting, Brittany’s development, and just in general the whole story. It could also help LGBTQ+ teens (such as myself) feel seen, with a good story that even their parents might enjoy. Thank you again for this amazing book. It was a joy reading it. And if you well…turn it to Netflix idk give some credit for the idea

TFYM THEY DONT WANT IT. This story is SO good like i read it in one day theyre dumb asf for not wanting it. I could only recommend yk streaming platforms but sadly i do not have any connection
